Karekare Engagement

It was touch and go whether we would go ahead with Lisa & Garth’s engagement session a few weeks back at the majestic Karekare beach on Auckland’s west coast.

The forecast wasn’t great, it had been raining on and off all day and the forecast for the next day was looking like it might be a bit more settled. But these guys decided they wanted to go ahead and despite not getting the sunset we were after and getting a little wet from the rain, I’m so glad they did because I just love the mood factor of these shots.

Lisa and Garth wanted to do this shoot so that they felt more comfortable and knew what to expect from me when they get married in January (just a few weeks away!). I can’t recommend this enough! I’ve lost count of the times my couples have said to me when we finish shooting, “oh that wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, I actually had fun!”. Takes the stress away from the photo part of your wedding day. So if you’ve booked your wedding with me and have been thinking about it, do it!!
