tee & tom | hahei wedding
Tee & Tom threw the quintessential kiwi beach wedding in the beautiful Coromandel seaside town of Hahei. This was their second wedding celebration; based in London, they had a formal, traditional wedding a few months before in England so decided to throw a completely opposite shindig here in NZ.
Tee is a Kiwi girl and Tom is English so it was awesome for them to have the best of both worlds and to be able to celebrate with their friends and family on both sides of the world.
To mix things up for their second wedding, Tom walked down the aisle to Tee waiting at the top in her 1960’s vintage dress (after arriving on a bright red vintage tractor of course!). With Hahei beach in the background, they exchanged their vows before heading to Tee’s family’s bach for a backyard celebration with an amazing feast prepared by Tee’s pub owner uncle.
In Tee’s words, their wedding had key themes of vintage, locally sourced and made with love by friends and family. Decorations featured olive halos, oak chairs and vases on the top table made by Tee’s Grandmother. Everyone seemed to pitch in to pull the day together and I particularly loved the aprons that were placed under random guests chairs with instruction that they were on clearing plates – genious!
